Born, raised, and educated in Munoz, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, Tita Recometa Brady readily absorbed the spirit of hard work and persistence from her parents and ten siblings. She pursued a Fine Arts degree at the University of Santo Tomas. She then taught at the University of the East and Ateneo de Manila until she was granted a Fulbright-Hays Scholarship to study in United States.

She completed her Master of Fine Arts Degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1968. She taught at Joliet Catholic Academy, later at Valley View Dist. 365-U until her retirement in 2002. That is when she charted a vigorous course in painting, doing Art Shows in Chicago as well as in Washington, D.C.

She is married to James M. Brady. They have two married sons and three grandchildren.
