Justin
Grey is a 25 year old Filipino American,
born and raised on the North Side of
Chicago. The Youngest of 4 brothers, he
was influenced by hip-hop, arts,
technology, and video games. At an early
age, he was introduced to graffiti and
break-dancing. He studied at the
International Academy of Design and
Technology.
While in
college, he worked with AmeriCorps and
become very involved in community-based
not-for-profit organizations. Throughout
the years, he has worked with several
Chicago public schools, youth groups and
after-school programs. He became very
interested in youth work, and with the
help of fellow staff, he developed his
own program, "Connect Force," in 2003.
Through community-based organizations,
and graffiti, he's been able to lead
several mural projects.
He
currently work at Alternatives Inc, a
not-for-profit for youth. He's an Uptown
resident and an active graffiti artist.
He also does freelance work, such as
graphic design, video production! and
t-shirt printing. He enjoys working with
youth, bike-riding, traveling, going to
the beach, painting, eating, and having
fun!
